| Trailers archive - March 2007 At long last, here is the first trailer for Rockstar Games' upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV, breaking into the next generation this October for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Opening with cliff-edge cornering on Pikes Peak, one of the breathtaking Hill Climb events, this first CMR: DIRT video trails the bump and grind of buggy racing and reveals McRae's very own prototype performance car, the R4, in a dramatic crash sequence. SOE and Sigil today released new footage from the recently launched MMORPG, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes that showcases player housing. The video, narrated by designer Kurt Wagner, takes viewers through the purchase of land and construction of a house on both Qalia and Kojan. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes allows players to build houses big and small and provides very open floor plan, leaving the décor up to each individual player. Battlefront.com and 1C Company have released a new gameplay video from their upcoming Theatre of War real-time tactical wargame. The video is over 6 minutes long and shows a combined arms attack from the view of the player... and the soldiers. Follow along as infantry, tank destroyers, artillery, mortars and even attack aircraft engage in deadly combat. Tubine and Codemasters are delighted and excited to bring us the very first, fully-rendered CGI cinematic trailer for The Lord of the Rings Online. "There'll be oooohhs and aaaahhs as you watch this spine-tingling teaser", they say. I'd say more like boooohs and baaaahs. Bioshock takes place among the ruins of an underwater utopia. After your plane crashes into icy, uncharted waters, you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an ideal society for a hand-picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, Rapture collapsed under the weight of its own idealism. Now the city is littered with corpses, wildly powerful guardians roam the corridors, mutated little girls scavenge the dead, and genetically modified citizens ambush you at every turn. JoWooD and Deep Silver present a new SpellForce 2: Dragon Storm trailer, warning us that "Only one can face the storm that threatens all Eo", in this newly released expansion pack. A "Veggie Abuse" video revealing the secrets of the sound effects in Digital Extremes' upcoming action game, Dark Sector. Put on those flight goggles, as today CDV launched this new Attack on Pearl Harbor video, featuring high-speed arcade-action aerial dogfighting that will appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers alike, they reckon. |
