A trailer mixing real-life filmings with gameplay footage from Silent Hunter 4, Ubisoft's new submarine simulator that's gone gold and is now ready for release this month. The devs from Massive together with ESL (Electronic Sports League) held the first World in Conflict public tournament - seemingly using the game's beta version - at the gigantic "Dreamhack" LAN party in Sweden. This is said to be the largest LAN party in the world, with over 7,000 computers and 10,000 gamers. The World in Conflict tournament culminates with a battle between the winning clan and Massive's team. Fireglow Games presents this new trailer for their upcoming blend of RPG and RTS, Stranger. The clip shows off some heavy fighting with lots of magic spells and deadly weapons that are masterfully wielded. Hellgate: London is the first original title from premier developer Flagship Studios, whose team hails from such blockbusters as the Diablo, StarCraft, and WarCraft series. Set in the near future, Hellgate: London introduces a world devastated by a demon invasion. Players are thrust into a desolate city scorched by hellfire where the survivors meld science and sorcery to gain a foothold against the minions of darkness and save the bloodline of humanity. Hellgate: London combines the depth of Role-Playing Games with the action of First-Person titles, while offering infinite replayability and an individualized gaming experience through dynamically created levels, monsters, items, and events. Players create a hero and then battle through innumerable hordes of demons while completing quests and advancing through experience levels and branching skill paths. A robust, flexible skill and spell system, highly-customizable items, and a massive variety of randomly generated equipment allow players to create heroes that are truly unique. The City of Heroes / City of Villains Issue #9 trailer shown at GDC 2007 introduces the upcoming features in this 'Breakthrough' free expansion to NCsoft's superhero MMORPG. On his 21st birthday, the awesome and terrible powers of the Darkness awaken within Jackie Estacado, a mafia hitman for the Franchetti crime family. With his new powers, Jackie is able to wreak terrifying havoc on his enemies. Jackie must learn to fully command the Darkness so he can take back control of the Franchetti family, which is ruled by his uncle Paulie, a despicable man who is almost universally despised. Also at GDC 2007, Sony and Media Molecule introduced LittleBigPlanet, a genre-defying, physics-intensive, community-based game with a hugely innovative concept behind it. Players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots - and use their character's amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with other gamers throughout the world via PlayStation Network. The man behind LittleBigPlanet is Mark Healey, formerly of Lionhead and creator of Rag Doll Kung Fu. The first trailer for Sony's Home online service revealed at GDC 2007. Home is a real-time online 3D, networked community available on the PlayStation Network. It allows PS3 users to interact, communicate, join online games, shop, share private content and even build and show off their own personal spaces to others in real time. Home will be available as a free download from the PlayStation Store and will launch directly from XMB (XrossMediaBar) on PS3.
