You know how we, human beings, love to estimate stuff? It's natural. Most of us will try to assume just how many Laetitia Castas we will have sex with until the end of the year, other will estimate the time it takes them to rule the world and make this shitty planet a better place. Yeah, right.

Capcom does not aim that high (neither when it comes to fucking Laetitia Casta, nor when it comes to take over the world), they just like to think in advance and bask in the glory of what their future titles might be. Or better yet, how they will sell.

So, let's see... Their very own Nostradamus thinks that, for starters, Resident Evil 5 will total a 3.2 million copies sold when the game finally reaches the open market (March, 2009), while Street Fighter 4, a game which we await with extreme and dedicated interest, will sell about 1.7 million units. Bionic Commando is last in place, with only 1.5 million units sold.

Nice estimations. I personally hope they come true, since I am a Capcom fan myself. Ooops, I said it.

The ladies at Capcom are calmly wrapping up their files with this new release schedule, published on MCV, pointing out to some of their most anticipated franchises and their new “dates of birth”. Surprisingly, but not equally that certainly, it seems that Resident Evil 5 has somehow, through mischievous and dark rituals, found a way to the PC platform along side its console little sisters, and will be released in the same day, March, 13, 2009. I personally doubt this, or at least, I hope that they will give the eventual PC release more time for… polish. Remember the disaster called Resident Evil 4 on the PC? I bet you do.

In other news, and from the same press thing, the “next winter” release for Street Fighter 4 (PS3, X360) has magically become 27 February. Oh boy, I can’t wait for this one, really. The full release list is as follows:

I would like to note that Capcom previously denied rumors about a PC version of Street Fighter 4, although this list… lists it.

Cleverly crawling under Midway's skin, the folks over at Eurogamer got their hands on some juicy details regarding the European Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe special edition. It seems that, exactly like in North America, buyers will be treated handsomely with all sorts of goodies, be it T-shirts, bags, posters, all depending on the chosen retailer. Here's what Midway told Eurogamer:

"We have a full complement of different offerings for Europe. A reward pack with a drawstring bag, comic and Alex Ross poster will be available with certain retailers; EU-exclusive t-shirts with a few partners; exclusive litho prints; and there's one last unannounced item that may be coming. Final details are being ironed out now."

Due for release on 21 November, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is scheduled for both next-gen consoles (Playstation 3 and Xbox 360). Amongst the treats American players will receive, unlike their European counterparts, are hand-painted box arts, made by Alex Ross himself, plus a 16-pages long comic, drawn by John Tobias. This comic is supposed to be some sort of a prequel.

- Red Faction III was confirmed during THQ's latest investors call. Exactly one year after CEO Brian Farrell practically said the same thing. Only this time, we know with relative certainty that it's developed for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. By Volition, duh.

- Steam reaches 15 million accounts. For some odd reason, players keep making new accounts after getting their asses banned, or forget their password. Or username.

- Activision confirmed various sequels for their top franchises, from Call of Duty, to Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, Spider-Man, Bond and other kiddie games. Or we could've just said "Activision confirms Call of Duty 5", since we don't give a crap about any of the others.

- The Club demo is out of for the PC. So is the full game, but only on the PS3 and Xbox 360 momentarily. Good luck clearing 2 GB for the demo!

- "We at EA blew it" (with Bullfrog, Origin and Westwood). No, you didn't blow it. You fucked it up. You fucked it up!

- Okami Wii is completely playable by now, but Capcom is still not giving a firm release date. March? Maybe. By the way, this game should've been made for the Wii from head start.

- StarCraft II and WoW: Wrath of the Lich King also playable, if you can hold your breath until the end of June, and find your way inside Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational event from Paris.
