Turbine's plans to bring more solo-oriented content into Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach have been known ever since last month, when they announced some of the features (including the new Drow race) contained in the game's second module, Twilight Forge. Now they are revealing more details about the solo-play options, as well as some adjustments that will see new players advance more quickly in level, once the updated goes live "soon" (most likely in July).
"Advancing to level 2 will now require 5,000 experience points instead of 10,000, allowing you to visit the trainers even earlier. Advancing to level 3 will require 20,000 total experience points instead of 30,000, bringing character progression benefits even closer again."
Experience requirements have been modified for up to level 10, and you can check the exact figures in Turbine's announcement. Early advancement for new characters will also be eased thanks to the addition of a new solo-play option for quests in the Harbor. Some dungeons (The Waterworks, Irestone Inlet and the Kobold Assault), however, will remain areas that require a team to conquer, so the Solo difficulty setting will not be available in these areas.
"Quests in the Harbor have a new option available to you, opening up solo gameplay during your character's earliest levels. In addition to the Normal, Hard and Elite settings already available for each dungeon, the Solo option allows you to take on a dungeon at a difficulty setting suited for a single player. When you enter a dungeon on the solo setting, it contains monsters and traps that can be defeated without the help of a party."
