When Square Enix first revealed the new Fabula Nova Crystallis - Final Fantasy XIII universe just before the E3, making us shiver with delight, all they mentioned then were two PlayStation 3 titles and one for the mobile phones. They did however promise to return with more announcements regarding other facets of the project scheduled for the near future, and at least one such game might actually be coming to the Xbox 360.

According to GamersReports' well-placed and highly-annonymous source within Microsoft, "the Xbox 360 may be getting one or more of the Fabula Nova Crystallis FF XIII spin-off games that Square Enix recently announced at E3. On top of this, it seems that one or more of these titles may make their way to the XBox Live Arcade". Should this story be confirmed by Square, it would give the Japanese yet another reason for embracing Microsoft's largely outcast next-gen console, along with other Xbox 360 games mainly focused on the Asian market, like the recent Ninety-Nine Nights or the upcoming Blue Dragon. Of course, since the memory of E3 is still fresh in our minds, it's pretty hard to think that Square Enix would make any additional announcement on the topic during the following weeks. So for now, here's what they're telling us about their new universe:

"To celebrate the 13th title in the world-renowned FINAL FANTASY series, Square Enix has undertaken a colossal project involving the development of various content for multiple platforms. FABULA NOVA CRYSTALLIS, defined in Latin as "the new tale of the crystal," is made up of several different titles based on variations of the FINAL FANTASY XIII universe. However, while each title in the project features different characters, different worlds, and different stories, all are ultimately based on and expand upon a common mythos."
