IGN cleverly notes that when it comes to Microsoft, rumours always turn out to be true. Indeed, it's not like the Halo 3 project was a secret up until now, but nor was it ever officially announced by Microsoft or Bungie. The last time we mentioned it at the end of March, Halo 3 was said to be on track for a March 2007 release, and by that time it was already expected for the game to be showcased at E3 2006, one way or the other.

According to IGN, the presentation will take the form of a trailer (well what did you expect, a publicly playable demo?), which will be shown at Microsoft's conference scheduled for May 9th. Guess we'll just have to be patient for a little more - unless of course you're the zealous type who prays to the almighty God of Leaks...
