Hellgate: London Reveals New Character Class: The Cabalist
Nearly a year after the first character class playable in the Hellgate: London Action-RPG was revealed, Flagship Studios are finally introducing us to a second class, called the Cabalist. As we already know, the game's story sends us 30 years into the future, when mankind is forced to hide underground in order to survive a demonic invasion. But now we learn that the Templars (the first class announced) aren't the only ones struggling to cleanse London's subways.
The Cabal is an organization whose disciples harness both fringe science and arcane practices, in order to unleash their spiritual power - either for the sake of power itself, or for other, more noble purpuses. The Cabalists are therefore Hellgate: London's casters, with their spells falling into three schools of magic: Summoning (allowing them to capture, control and even train the minions of Hell), Spectral (for invoking dark forces from the spectral plane, causing colossal damage) and Transformation (a couple of horns, some spikes and claws, elongated limbs, anything for some extra power). A few screenshots with this new class can be found in our local gallery, and a new trailer was also promised for later this month.
P.S. We didn't mention this back in February when it was announced, but the game's release will coincide with the release of a Hellgate: London manga, produced by Tokyopop.
