No Black For The Xbox 360, Only Black 2... Someday

As of today, Europeans can start enjoying the new trigger-happy shooter Black (on PS2 and Xbox), coming from Criterion Software - creators of the Burnount series, and looking to be a fairly good game according to the first reviews. There's just one problem troubling the fans, and that's Microsoft's recent announcement that the game's Xbox version is not compatible with the Xbox 360, as is the case with many other titles. And, judging by Criterion's repeated (yet invariably failed) attempts to convince them into making it playable on their wonder-console, Black will probably remain incopatible for a long time ahead.

"No worries", said the fans, "we'll just wait for the Xbox 360 version of the game". Great, except that there's never going to be such a version, according to Criterion's Alex Ward who had the following to say to Eurogamer.

"I keep reading all over forums that we're going to make a 360 version of BLACK, and it's just not true. (...) The only time you'll see [the BLACK franchise] on the Xbox 360 is when we make BLACK 2 on it in a few years."

So there's also a good news after all: if we won't have a Black on the Xbox 360, we can at least settle for a Black 2... someday.
