| Not long after we updated the local Rise of Legends gallery yesterday, developer Big Huge Games and Microsoft surprised us with a complete revamp of the game's website and, most notably, the revelation of a third civilization called Cuotl. Unlike the mechanical Vinci or the mystical Alin, Cuotl is a mysterious race not just from a narative point of view, but also in light of the details offered by Big Huge (what details?!). All they said is that their inspiration came from the ancient Mayan civilization, as well as the "Chariots of the Gods" cult classic written by Erik von Daniken - a book that shocked by introducing the theory that ancient Earth was vizitied by aliens. What could possibly come out of this combination? Well you can see for yourself in these artworks posted on the official website. And of course in this fresh dozen of screenshots added today in our local gallery for this pseudo-|j|Rise of Nations|j|. The game's release is set for the second quarter of 2006.
