Gran Turismo 4 Online and God of War 2 - Don't @#$% With Sony!

The Brits from Eurogamer found themselves put against the wall by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe lawyers, after publishing two stories inspired by real facts and figures, as (supposedly) listed in some internal marketing documents belonging to Sony. Forced to choose between the legal threat and bowing their heads, Eurogamer eventually removed the newsbits (#1, #2, #3 - I wonder what that last one was about), though not before other websites managed to spread the story out of legal-harm's way.

And so the story goes that Sony is indeed preparing that God of War 2 for the PS2 we mentioned a few days ago, and also an online version of Polyphony's racing sim GT4 (for up to 6 players), simply called Gran Turismo 4 Online Edition. Also for the PS2, and probably out this summer or autumn.

Since a company such as Sony would have normally said "we don't comment on rumours", their violent reaction does nothing but to pour whiskey over fire, making the rumour all the more convincing.
