God of War 2, SOCOM 4 and then some, coming to PS3

While the launch date for Sony's new PlayStation 3 is being bounced back and forth by recent speculations, the already impressive list of PS3 games is starting to look really interesting. Turning once again to their trusty (yet highly anonymous) inside sources, CVG is reporting that this year's E3 will be home to a new SOCOM title, developed by Zipper Interactive for a next-gen console. And since the developer was recently acquired by Sony, it should be pretty obvious what console we're talking about.

Next up, CVG reveals that God of War (best console game in 2005, according to most ye playfuls) will also transcend to the PS3, although it may not be showcased at this year's E3. Stranger still is that both God of War 2 and SOCOM 4 are said to be released on the PlayStation 2 as well.

The story ends with the nomination of a new title for I-8, the impressive looking Action game developed by Insomniac Games (Ratchet and Clank). And the title is... Resistance.
