| Europe is certainly not a prime target for Japanese console giants Sony and Nintendo, and having to wait months on end (if not more) for a game adaptation has become pretty common these days. Which is why this news is all the more surprising: according to Nintendo of Europe reps, their Nintendogs game for the DS has been a massive success over on this part of the world - and when I say "massive", I mean almost 2 million units sold since its launch on 7 October 2005, outperforming sales even from the US (almost 1.5 million units) and Japan (almost 1.2 million units)!
This is certainly a situation that doesn't come often for Asian titles released in Europe, but thanks to DS gamers (mostly) from France, Spain and the United Kingdom, we can at least hope that these console giants will rethink their worldwide launch strategies in the future...
