Last year in September I still had my doubts about whether the Korean RPG Magna Carta would ever be released in English, after having enjoyed quite a successful launch in Asia during 2004. And even though Magna Carta 2 was already being announced for the Xbox 360 at that time, the original version of the game (for PS2) will only reach Europe next month. We have Codemasters to thank for finally bringing the game over on this part of the world as well, on March 23, as it now reached Gold status.

For those unfamiliar with the title, Magna Carta could best be described through a comparison with Final Fantasy VII(I), meaning it's got plenty of almost-real-time battles, third person exploration, dialogues and cinematics, along with the usual strange minigames, all done in a distinctly oriental style. For the time being we have some new screenshots in our local gallery, though still in a hieroglyphic language I'm affraid.
