Firefly Studios Heralds Stronghold Legends

Since they're still in business (quite surprising, I must say), it was about time that Firefly Studios revealed their future plans, or in other words their new Stronghold game. Only thing is, their previous sequel wasn't one of last year's notable strategy titles, so a "Stronghold 3" was probably doomed from head start as well. In the end, they ended up choosing what most spineless developers out there would have chosen: a fantasy twist!

And so the Stronghold Legends project came to be, an RTS that looks neither pretty, nor hardcore (like Stronghold: Crusader still was), and will most likely fail to rise to the height of todays - or tomorrow's fantasy strategies. Suffice to mention Battle for Middle-earth II, and then take a look over the Stronghold Legends gallery, to see the shadow of doom rising above Firefly's once proud kingdom.

Still, should anyone feel like getting their hopes up for this game, the devs have promised three campains with a total of 24 missions, in which King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, Count Vlad Dracul and the mighty Siegfried of Germany will all bow down under your mighty mouse. Sometime during Autumn 2006, we're told.
