| Quantic Dream gives up on Infraworld, but reveals new 'next-gen'
Back in April last year we were thrilled to learn about two new projects for next-gen consoles, Infraworld and Omikron 2, under development at the French studio Quantic Dream - creators of Omikron and the recent Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy (best Adventure and most original game in 2005, by popular demand). We now have another good news for all you dreamers out there, but also a bad one unfortunately.
We'll start with the not-so-good one, as customary: in an interview conducted by German website Working Title, Guillaume de Fondaumière claims that Quantic Dream didn't manage to gain any publishing support for their Infraworld game, and so a decision was made to terminate its development.
On the other hand, the same interview also reveals a new PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSP and PC title that's being kept under secrecy for now. "Mr. CEO" refused to offer any kind of details about the project, though it looks like they're focusing on it more than on the sequel we've all been waiting for quite a while now - Omikron 2: Karma. At the very least, we're hoping to find out more about all this during E3 2006.
