| Change of Name and Direction for Half-Life 2: Aftermath
The ominous Valve lets out more steam and reveals a new direction for its future Half-Life 2 title, soon to become titles. The first episode will boringly enough be called Half-Life 2: Episode One, replacing the Half-Life 2: Aftermath titulature and predicting a whole series of chapters, to be released via their online distribution system Steam.
The news was first reported by GameSpot, who was also quick to make the connection (duh) with another pilot(-shooting) episode that will be launched via Steam - namely SiN Episodes: Emergence, created by Ritual Entertainment. You know, the same bunch who wasn't even capable of doing a lousy Countr-Strike: Condition Zero, before having their project passed on to yet another developer... But that's an old and messy story.
So for the time being, expect to see Half-Life 2: Episode One released on the 24th of April 2006.
