| Joint Task Force was recently the side-subject of a nasty scandal involving several Hungarian developers, as well as publishers SCi Games and HD Interactive. But now that the waters seem to have calmed down, the game's developing and publishing trio - Most Wanted Entertainment, HD Interactive and Sierra - are ready to announce the finalization of their modern military strategy title.
Development on the now "Gold" Joint Task Force began at the Hungarian studio Mithis Games (makers of Nexus: The Jupiter Incident), but has since been shifted by HD Interactive over to another Hungarian developer - Most Wanted Entertainment. The game portrays a future that could easily become reality: in 2007, neither the US, UN nor NATO have the power to pacify the numerous combat hot spots blazing around the globe. To quell the global rise of terrorism, dictators and insurgents, Western Leaders create the Joint Task Force – an ultramodern and highly elite military squad. The player takes control of the JTF to combat various oppressive regimes around the world.
Breathtaking 3D-graphics, accurate physics with destructible buildings and landscapes as well as changing weather conditions are promising to make Joint Task Force an intense strategy experience, when it deploys to retail in mid September.
