Well, maybe not entirely exclusive. But by now, Michel Ancel's team is obsessively focused on making the best out of the Wii version of Rayman Raving Rabbids. Speaking to the Nintendo Power magazine, several devs from Ubisoft's Montpellier studio said that their next-gen Rayman game is being designed specifically for the Wii, and that the other versions
"can come later". At the very least, I guess we can look at it as a "partial exclusivity", and it's certainly possible for the Wii version to come out way ahead of the others.
Codename Revolution has more highlights from the September 2006 issue of Nintendo Power, revealing details about the new Rayman's story, graphics, gameplay, multiplayer and wacky control ideas.
"Rayman will have a multiplayer component. Ancel says "We hope the player can continue having fun with his friends even after he's finished the single-player mode". Some multiplayer trials include passing the controller around while others allow for four players. One of the trials included a cow milking contest."
A cow milking contest?! Oh boy, I got a funny - as in gay - feeling about this...
Ubi's Red Steel game also received plenty of editorial space in Nintendo Power, and you can read more about it in Codename Revolution's highlights, along with tiny bits of info regarding several other Wii games.
