Kane & Lynch From The Makers Of Hitman

A mercenary, a psychopath, and a bundle of cash... in all honesty, what could possibly go wrong? It's this lovingly murderous couple that developer IO Interactive chose for its next action game, called Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. Revealed in Game Informer's August issue, Kane & Lynch is "basically a third-person action game for Xbox 360 and PC with a full co-op play option, intuitive squad tactics, and a hearty online multiplayer component".

It may not sound like much, but looking at Game Informer's cover, I can't help but get a feeling of deja vu. Could it be "Natural Born Killers"? Or maybe "Heat"?... Well, whatever it is, I'm already starting to like it. Not to mention that the game is being developed by the same guys that brought us the Hitman series, as well as the surprisingly great Freedom Fighters tactical shooter.

And speaking of Freedom Fighters, whatever happened to the sequel? After all, Eidos mentioned it in one of their financial reports more than two years ago. And with Hitman: Blood Money now out of the picture for developer IO Interactive, odds are Kane & Lynch may be the only big thing in the works at the Danish studio.
