Treyarch, you know, the guys working on Call of Duty 3?... Right, well, it looks like they're also working on Activision's first James Bond game, after the publisher announced having acquired the Bond licence in early May. The news was revealed through a job posting which advertizes for a Gameplay Designer opening, at Treyarch's recently renovated studio in Santa Monica, CA, "just minutes from the beach" (yeah, that always gets the CVs flowing!).

Though no game details are exposed in the job's description, it's pretty safe to assume that the new James Bond game will be an action title, as usual, and that it's being developed for current and next-gen consoles. According to the job description, "the studio is focusing on developing and hiring for next gen titles", and previous "experience shipping console titles" is held as a bonus skill for would-be gameplay designers applying for this position.

And if close proximity to the beach doesn't get your working spirit up, maybe this will:

"[Treyarch] Team members enjoy playing weekly basketball games, afternoon foosball or working out at the neighboring gym. The studio has Friday morning bagels, stocked kitchens, great benefits."

Sounds like a productive environment. After all, all work and no play...
